Over the years the ecosystem of websites grew tremendously without any guardrails around UI patterns, visual design and content development. As a result the websites within Northeastern University ecosystem did not seem to belong to the same brand and were hard to navigate for users. The goal was to provide framework allowing teams to build consistent experiences for website within the ecosystem and to establish the marketing team as stewards of the Northeastern brand.
As a lead designer I was responsible for the complete user-centered design cycle. I lead the team through discovery and research phase to arrive to the product strategy and vision. I ran brainstorm and ideation session to exploit options for the agreed solution. In the design phase of the project, I managed a team of talented designers to design, prototype and validate the solutions. I then collaborated with developers to ensure design solutions were technically feasible and the final product was polished while maintaining an aggressive timeline.
